The Northside Grill (8550 Greenwood Ave. N.), is a casual,
friendly, Moroccan-American restaurant billed as "where North
Africa meets North Seattle." The menu includes burgers and a
tuna melt, as well as Moroccan chicken brochette, savory-sweet
phyllo pastry, and a sinful banana crepe nutella dessert. Beer

Raks Rafifki Open Bellydance Jam
On the second Friday of every month, all dancers are invited to join the troupe of drummers known as Raks Rafiki for an evening of open floor bellydancing. There is no scheduled lineup, and no one dances on stage: this is relaxed, fun, exhilarating. Every event features a free introductory bellydance lesson by one of the area's top teachers. The space is warm and inviting, with subdued lighting, a smooth wooden floor, and a large dressing room. The sound is created by an all drum ensemble, playing only those familiar middle eastern bellydance rhythms you know and love--it's pounding, vibrant, alive! We ask for a $5 donation, and have tables set up for potluck finger foods or any flyers you want to circulate. The location is at the Richmond Masonic Center, in Shoreline, corner of Linden and 185th N, right behind the Fred Meyer store on Aurora Blvd (Hiway 99).
